"This is a very unique Jigine silk in a lovely bright blue. Jigine is a silk woven in a specific rural distict of Japan and has properties similar to Tsumugi silk but has a much softer hand. It is billowy and has natural slubs due to the use of tussah silk in the weaving process. The background has a great tatewaku (undulating wave) motif. The clams are incredible in bright jeweltone shades. Note that the kanoko (dots) are faux shibori - they are screened." Excellent condition. 14.5" x 50"
